Some wedding days feel effortlessly elegant from beginning to end, and Poppy and Jason's celebration was exactly that.

Their day began surrounded by family at a beautiful home in Burchetts Green, Maidenhead, where the morning unfolded at a gentle pace. There is something so special about bridal preparations at home. Familiar rooms, family photographs on the walls, and the excitement building with every passing hour create a feeling that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Once everyone was ready, we made our way to St James the Less Church for their ceremony. Nestled in the heart of the village, the church provided a meaningful and traditional setting for their vows, filled with warmth, emotion and the people who matter most.

Following the ceremony, guests travelled to the breathtaking Danesfield House Hotel for the reception.

A Wedding Reception at Danesfield House Hotel

Set within 65 acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the River Thames and Chiltern Hills, Danesfield House is one of the most iconic wedding venues in Buckinghamshire. The striking architecture, immaculate gardens and grand interiors create an unforgettable backdrop for a wedding day.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by sweeping views across the grounds while enjoying drinks in the sunshine. The atmosphere felt relaxed and joyful, allowing everyone to soak in the beauty of the surroundings before heading inside for the wedding breakfast.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings at Danesfield House is the variety of locations available throughout the day. From the elegant staircases and ornate interiors to the expansive gardens and golden evening light across the grounds, every corner offers something beautiful.

Why Danesfield House is Perfect for Wedding Photography

As a Danesfield House wedding photographer, it is easy to see why so many couples choose this venue.

The historic country house offers stunning architectural details, beautifully maintained gardens and panoramic views that photograph beautifully in every season. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a larger gathering, the venue provides endless opportunities for natural, timeless imagery.

For couples who want wedding photographs that feel romantic, elegant and full of genuine connection, Danesfield House delivers the perfect setting.

As the evening unfolded, guests filled the dance floor while the last of the summer light faded across the grounds. Before joining their guests, we stole away for a few quiet moments together, capturing portraits that felt relaxed, natural and truly reflective of them.
