Although I’m based in Northamptonshire, I often travel across the UK — and Cornwall is always a favourite. Jane & Kevin’s wedding was everything I love about photographing by the coast: heartfelt moments, wild and beautiful landscapes, and a sunset that takes your breath away.
Morning at The Pig at Harlyn Bay
The day began in the elegant surroundings of The Pig at Harlyn Bay, a historic house full of character and Cornish charm. Its sash windows, cosy interiors, and beautiful gardens made it the perfect place for a wedding morning. Jane was surrounded by her closest friends and family, the atmosphere warm and full of anticipation. I photographed the little details — her dress catching the soft morning light, the final touches to her bouquet, and those candid moments of laughter that make the morning so special.
St Merryn Church Wedding Ceremony
From Harlyn Bay, we travelled to St Merryn Church, a beautiful stone church with centuries of history. The light streaming through the stained glass created a magical glow as Jane walked down the aisle to Kevin. Their vows were filled with joy, and the smiles on their faces said everything.
Constantine Bay Wedding Portraits
Before heading to the reception, we stopped at Constantine Bay for portraits — and this time, it wasn’t just the two of them. Their grown-up children joined us, turning it into a set of beautiful family photographs by the sea. The beach was quiet, the waves rolling in under a gentle breeze. Jane’s dress flowed effortlessly as she walked across the sand with Kevin, their children strolling alongside, laughing together and enjoying the moment. It felt so special to capture them not only as a newly married couple, but as a family — all together in one of the most stunning spots on the Cornish coast.
Trevose Golf Club Wedding Reception
The celebrations continued at Trevose Golf Club, which offers panoramic views over Constantine Bay and the Cornish coastline. Guests mingled on the terrace with drinks in hand, speeches were filled with laughter, and the whole evening had a relaxed, joyful energy.
One of my favourite parts of the day was a beautiful, personal gesture from Jane and Kevin — they had written individual letters to every single guest. As people opened them, there were smiles, hugs, and more than a few tears. It was such a thoughtful way to make everyone feel truly seen and appreciated, and it spoke volumes about the kind of love and care that surrounded this wedding.
A Glorious Cornish Sunset
As the day came to an end, Cornwall gave us one of its incredible sunsets. The sky shifted from gold to pink to deep orange, and we stepped outside for one last set of portraits. The light wrapped around Jane & Kevin like a warm embrace — a perfect ending to their beautiful Cornish wedding.
If you’re planning your wedding in Cornwall — whether at The Pig at Harlyn Bay, St Merryn Church, Constantine Bay, or Trevose Golf Club — and you’re looking for natural, storytelling photography, I’d love to capture it for you. I’m based in Northamptonshire but regularly photograph weddings across the UK, including the Cornish coast.
